13wks pregnant

I am 25 and expecting my second child. Today, my husband and I learned that our baby has gastroschisis. This news has us very concerned for the well-being of our baby.
Beyond the initial surgery our baby will undergo, I don’t know what to expect. How often should ultrasounds be performed to monitor the baby’s development? Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. Bst, Ashley

It differs for every case but I had a NST and a Ultrasound every other day for the last month and a half of my pregnancy and then it was every two weeks before that – If you don’t think that your doctor is being efficient enough just question them about it or find a second opinion – Just don’t be a mute – ask all the questions in the world – that is what I did and it made me feel very comfortable with the doctor I had chosen to over see my pregnancy.
