My name is chelsey. I'm 19 years old and was born with gastroschisis. I have a scar straight down to my hip all the way up to below my chest. I have no bellybutton as well. I don't have any health problems because of gastroschisis but I still am curious to if I can get pregnant or not. Still a mystery I suppose. I haven't ever met anyone with the same thing ad me nor have I talked to anyone with gastroschisis. I'm interested in getting to know and hear others stories.

Hi me and my partner found out about a month ago at our 12 week scan that our baby has Gastrochisis. Obv this tore me apart an at first i couldnt think of anything else apart from the suffering. After doing alot of research and reading alot of other peoples storys we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel although we no we all hav a long journey ahead.

genetic tests / hair sample testing

Born with gastroschisis & now pregnant myself

I was born with Gastroschisis in 1991 – my intestines were outside of my body and I underwent immediate surgery after birth to place them back inside. It wasn’t handled like in most cases where the intestines are allowed to fal back in slowly & I have a scar the entire length of my abdomen.
