Gastroschisis Increase in Norway
Gastroschisis births in Norway have risen by ten fold according to Anne Brantberg, medical director at the National Center for Fetal Medicine (NSFM).
“The incidence of Gastrochisis in Norway in the 1960`s was approximately one case in every 20,000 children, while Brantberg’s modern material indicates an incidence of one case in every 2,000 births”.
