Again a beautiful video and an inspiration to Mothers and Fathers everywhere who are facing the condition for the first time, thank you so much for submitting it.

Baby Dylan is so beautiful! seeing your photo’s had me in tears happy tears i might add. My daughter is a gastroschisis baby, well she is 14yrs old now not a baby anymore but knowing this website is here has helped her realise that other girls and boys really are out there. Reading everyones stories has helped knowing your not alone with this birth defect. All the best Paula x

Dear Lawson Family.

What a beautiful way to remember what must have been an extreamly difficult time for you all.

Dylan is such a handsome little man, as are your other beautiful children.

I only joined this website 2 days ago as I was inquisitive about the condition.

I was born with Gastroschisis 34 years ago and never really thought too much about it. For all of my life I have just felt so unique and different. I have never really suffered as a result of being born this way. I dont have a belly button – my mum used to tell me I was special because God had given everybody else a button and chosen me to have a zip.

Im now really stunned to find out that it is not such a rare condition. In a way that really helps. I feel in a strange way that I have found new friends.

I’ve always been an outgoing person and have lived a perfectly normal life. I am so happily married and have 2 wonderful children, aged 9 1/2 and almost 2. Life really couldn’t be better.

I hope Dylan is as lucky as me and lives a perfectly normal life.

Good luck and best wishes

Rebecca
